Time is flying here in Tarifa - we are having fun getting to know the town and surrounding areas. And, I am exciting to report that we now have a mobile phone, after almost a year of being out of reach (except when I go to Internet cafes.) To call us from the US, dial

Not much else to report (so much for the excitement of world travels!) but we did visit one of the lovely "white villages" - called Vejer - nearby. Matthias also caught some fish - pictures (or proof) to come. This week, we plan to do some hiking. It has rained a bit here, and Matthias hopes to find some mushrooms. We are also going to Gibraltar
this week - a pretty short bus ride away (and, it counts as a new country for me, right Jen??)

Watch those monkeys on Gibraltar... but enjoy the walk or taxi across the taxiway!

Why, YES, it IS another "country"! :-) I hurried to the TCC website to confirm, and indeed it is politically, ethnologically, and/or geographically distinct enough to be its own thing. Fabulous!!! You must be blasting through that list now, with all that you and Matthias have done! Brenda and I are pretty stagnant lately. This whole "working" thing isn't doing it for me... hahaha. Oh well. Gives me a lot to look forward to, I suppose! :-)
